Prenatal Postnatal yoga
Prenatal and postnatal yoga are specialized forms of yoga designed to support women during two significant phases of their lives: pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Prenatal yoga focuses on gentle and modified yoga poses that are safe for expectant mothers. These poses help to strengthen the muscles needed for labor, improve flexibility, and alleviate common discomforts associated with pregnancy. Breathing exercises and relaxation techniques are also integral parts of prenatal yoga, aiding in stress reduction and promoting a sense of well-being for both the mother and the growing baby.
Postnatal yoga, on the other hand, is tailored to the unique needs of new mothers as they recover from childbirth and adapt to the demands of motherhood. It typically includes exercises to rebuild core strength, address pelvic floor issues, and release tension in the shoulders and neck. Postnatal yoga also incorporates mindfulness and breathing exercises to promote mental and emotional well-being during this transformative time.
